WE DIDN'T SACRIFICE TRAVEL ONCE WE BECAME PARENTS.
WE JUST BROUGHT THE KIDS ALONG. AND THAT'S WHEN THE REAL ADVENTURE BEGAN.
I'm Heather, a longtime freelance writer and editor from Colorado with a passion for traveling. When my husband, Michael, and I became parents in 2006, we worried that meant saying "adios" to our adventures. Little did we know bringing kids along would only make travel all the more adventurous!
In addition to writing about family travel for Momfari, I'm a former Huffington Post blogger and contributing editor for Outdoor Families Magazine. My goal? To inspire parents to get outside and explore the world with their children. Click here to learn more about my writing background or contact me at email@example.com.
Combine adventure travel with kids and parenting. You get Momfari.
Safari in Swahili means "journey," a word that so perfectly encompasses our experiences in both parenting and travel. Put them together and you have "Momfari."
After all, just because we become parents doesn't mean we have to change everything, including what we enjoyed before we had children. For my husband and me, that was traveling. And now we enjoy it all the more with our two boys in tow. Relaxing? Not really. But possible? I wouldn't want it any other way.
